Why I'm Running

I am inspired by our Leader’s passion and commitment to our Party and Canada.  I fully support the platform the Liberal Party of Canada presented in last year’s election and I want to do whatever I can to support this exciting period of change.

This is an historic time for our Party and we need experienced leadership.  As proposed, the new Constitution will significantly open up the policy development process.  As such, it is critical that the next National Policy Chair fosters a flexible, interactive and participatory process that offers a wealth of opportunities for all Liberals to participate.

I enjoy working collaboratively with local Liberal EDAs and Commissions.  I am constantly inspired by our volunteers, elected MPs, riding presidents, past candidates and local policy chairs who are actively championing our platform and Liberal values in neighbourhoods across Canada.  I want to pay tribute to their dedication by supporting widespread policy engagement throughout our Party.

It is important that the National Executive is diverse and includes strong representation from British Columbia and Western Canada.  I was born in Alberta, grew up in Manitoba, worked in Saskatchewan and currently reside in BC.

Many friends, supporters and Liberals across Canada have contacted me over the past few months encouraging me to run.  I want to thank all of you for your support and trust.
